Missing My Babies

Other than working, I’ve been watching
series at home this whole week - Drive of Life (Trailer). Hong Kong series are very dramatic and it’s hard to stop when the story reached its peak, you just want more after each episode!! They are unique in triggering emotion in you; most engrossed person gets quite emotional while watching it. Like me, my housemate thought I’ve gone crazy when I watched Master of Tai Chi (Trailer); almost murdered that actor from my computer! So I assume series are bad for health but good for saving money~ tee hee~

Other than watching series, I met up with Nick and family, had a home cooked feast at their place and watched some nice DVDs together after that! Warren and Michelle did most of the cooking and Kai Ma Connie always have something to say~ it was a simple and pleasant meal! And I miss my family, especially the three young ones!! Sigh~

Memory Remains

After learning that I used to write in the past, Jessica asked me if I ever delete any past entries that I made in my previous blog. I agree with her that any entries that I made online are memories and it is not necessary to delete any of them. But after saying that, I realized that I have no clue to what I’ve wrote 3 years ago. So the question is - why is it unnecessary to delete them?

Surprisingly, I end up laughing simultaneously when I was reading what I wrote; it was hilarious as I can see the big difference between both current and the old one. For that, I’m glad that I’ve improved in expressing myself...

It was corny as I read almost all the entries that I made – totaled to 36 entries – I know, it wasn’t a lot as I’m always slacking off. The only reason in my memory why I started writing is because Eddie used to have such a nice weblog and I’m that one who is always bugging him to design one for me because of that.

I’m glad those memories remain, and it’s nearly fresh reading those entries again – I believe my memory storage are limited, tiny interesting bits were deleted away without me realizing. So I decided to pick two of them into my current one without changing the dates for memory purposes, I also altered a bit of them so that they are understandable.

I’ve totally forgotten that I used to like this little poem that I’ve kept in my computer for 6 years - So now it’s back alive again!

I believe many read horoscope star signs – I deny that I believe in what I read from horoscope but I won’t skip that page if I happen to come across it. It is always interesting to know something related to yourself and I think this happens to most people. When I was younger, I used to be a boy who like a girl - I’ll search on magazines horoscope just to learn what I should do next with ‘her’ or whether ‘me and her’ will be compatible in the future – and now I don’t even remember the ‘her’ that I’m referring to. All I remember now is that Eddie used to tell me that he only read gender-categorized horoscope because he got the same star sign as the girlfriend that time – so it doesn't help reading those general ones. See! I’m not alone – I believe most go through what I did… I call this the phase of growing!

Anyway, I’ve uploaded a nice gender horoscope that have been kept in my computer for 3 long years – I’m not sure if horoscope expires but to anyone who is interested, you can download it from here~

Bed Time - I can’t wait for Friday~

Sluggishness

The Shedding Maple
I feel that 70% of my brain cells started to hibernate with the weather... I am so sluggishhhh now… Anyone feels like how I feel?

I will -

  • Call in sick for work when I feel my bed is more comfortable than usual
  • Act like I’m very busy during work just to avoid talking to any of my colleagues
  • Daze away in front of my office monitor when I have finish all my jobs
  • Sleep on the train rather than reading newspaper or my books
  • Ask why rather than sorting out the problems myself in whatever situations
  • Snug on my bed from the moment I wake up during weekend and watch Hong Kong series the whole day
  • Reply short/ignore anyone on MSN and continue watching my series (sorry for that...)
  • Snug on my bed and sleep for 24 hours listening to songs and skipping shower, lunch and dinner
  • Close my room door with the heater on for the whole day when possible
  • Silent my phone so that I don’t have to pick up any calls
  • Prevent myself from going out too often so that I don’t have to do too much laundry and etc
  • Eat instant noodle for dinner whenever possible until I feel I’m too unhealthy
  • Sit/lie down wherever and whenever I can
  • Use point-form for my blog post
  • And a lot more...

Apparently by doing so, I’ve finished two Hong Kong series in 1 week and created an ultimately lazy gizmo in the house~

As for now, I only hope to get a bit more perked up in the mornings~

Life still goes on…

Climb Over

I’M SO FREE TODAY!!! I’ve reached office earlier than usual and realized that both of my leaders who are in charge of the things-that-I-should-do won’t come in today~ and since I have done the job that I’m supposed to do, I’m a serious bored free man now… It happens sometimes when no one need help, Australian workers are independent or another word can’t-be-bothered-with-you…

Today is a nice day as I came across a nice poem by my colleague Bethany, a nice quote from June and also because of the nice sunny cool weather! My colleague is someone who got inspired to write a poem while she is working and I have no idea where that inspiration come from, then she will ask me for comments about what she wrote. I find all her poems nice but I particularly like the meaning of this one… It is about a homeless and helpless alcoholic addict who left his family and his hopes. It reads:

……………………………………………

I would drink, I would drive, and I would constantly lie
I would never care about people's emotion
I would chant the words I constantly hear
I would like a bit of commotion

The paths are curvy, the paths are straight
They vary from time to time
But most of the time, I'm always sleeping
Other times, I would be begging for a dime

My friends aren't many... They change and go
I sometimes don't even know their name
They tell me their stories, they sing their songs
And their songs are never the same

Home was where I grew up
Home was where I lived
Home was where I tasted food
But here is where I grieve

My children may not know me
It is better to be left this way
They will be embarrassed to see their dad
That will be the day!

I am cold in the winter
It is worse during the night
I sometimes lit a fire
Clutching my hands tight

Summers are better
Sunshine and bright sky
I can do more things
Such as scuffle through the bin of food getting myself a bite

My possessions aren't many
My clothes are worn out and old
My beard is as long as
My top hair can grow

I am not a retard
I think I'm smart
I consider myself to have
A nice warm heart

I don't want to be like this
I really feel ashamed
If I could turn back the hands of time
And go to the life from where I came

It is not a great feeling you know
When you have nowhere to go
You feel like you have been abandoned
But deep down you know

If it was not for the bottle beside me
I wouldn't be a slave
I would have my own family back
And hug my Jane and Dave

……………………………………………

Apparently, this is a cruel fiction and it will happen if one got careless with alcohol… Anyway good one!

Then I came across this quote from June –

I built up a wall, not to block everybody out, but to see who loves me enough to climb over it "

I know this might be just a normal quote but sometimes quotes can be meaningful when it was delivered to the reader at the right time… Meaningful to you? Alright I’m about to go home!!!

One more day to Friday! Hoho~ Enjoy your night!!

Melbourne City Roamers

It’s currently 8˚ out there~ the bread I was having almost freeze, feels like I had bread freshly made-out-of-the fridge… Yeah winter~ bloody winter is coming!! Most of the maple trees outside my house are shedding off and scattered dried leaves covered portions of the road; many ‘Botak’ can be found around the neighbourhood now~ the colours around are fading off slowly… Sleeping under the doona and hibernate is the best choice now!!

This is a late post, as I took too much of my own sweet time extracting and editing some elite take from the 800+ photos I had from my friends who came, so I decided to put them into one post!

For the past few years, I’ve always wanted to take some nice photos around Melbourne City as they have some unique old buildings and special features around but I don’t have the chance as I don’t have a good camera; my old 2.0 mp camera can only shoot crap and it always take too long to load after each shot *not recommended by Edison*~ so I gave it an indefinite holiday while I try to get a new one…

Our first stop is the city and when it comes to city + women, the result is easy~ the guys just have to find their own play toy while the ladies indulge themselves into the shopping Valley; the reason it’s not advisable to do it with them is because they all ask the same universal questions - “how do I look in this? Nice? Not nice? Really Nice? Really not Nice?!!” Okay… Never answer ‘not nice’ since the result is inevitable… the better way is to wait and ask them to chill for a photo session after that…

Felephant and Me!

One of the reason I like Melbourne City is partly because of the lively street performers~ they range from lame to interesting performers; yeah, they all do that for a living. Some lame ones try to sing out loud polluting the environment, some do drawings and some even do speeches about God. Although I categorise them as lame, they are still good to have that kind of courage, I remember I made a post on my abandoned blog about an old man holding a gong at the heart of the city just gonging with random rhythm; then a kind Asian girl was praised as a goddess for giving one dollar - I think the old man did it in a nice way and he made her day~ I was giggling away when I heard that, I find her shock expression really funny…

These are some interesting and talented ones...

Street Slow White . Melbourne City by Kieny How, on Flickr

The gracious slow white – this is the name I gave her because her skilful slow movement on the upper part of her body makes her looks so gentle and genial – she just stands there for few hours! *Respected* Though it’s quite sickening to see her giving flying kisses to everyone and many were into her! Gorgeous?

Street Singer . Melbourne City by Kieny How, on Flickr

This is the famous street singer and his name is George Blabla *I forgot* - well all I can say he sings well and he’s Japanese…

Street Horn Blower . Melbourne City by Kieny How, on Flickr

Saw that big horn? That’s the horn blower if I’m right… the rhythm created by it is not pleasant to me though but I know you need plenty of hard breathe to keep that thing working~ I’ll probably end up in hospital for more oxygen if I blow that for an hour but they can go on for hours…

Street Poser . Melbourne by Kieny How, on Flickr

And the last performer is the shortest creature in the world… she come from Venus name Venus~ she is a famous poser since she pose a lot in those photos I had! Hoho… Alright she’s my friend~

If this looks familiar to you - yeah I brought them to my favourite place - Cho Gao for my beer… so we chilled in there, chit chat and hang around~

When I first got here, I was brought to Pancake Parlour and told that they have nice pancakes. For the fact that, I’m so Chinese that I seldom have this kind of food – all I did was ‘hmm… it’s nice!’ but in fact, it doesn’t taste special to me from those I bought from supermarkets. Anyway it doesn’t matter whether I know how to appreciate; the trend to introduce nice pancakes still goes on… I was told that Stokers is famous and nicer for its pancakes so we stoke it instead!

I arrived and I couldn’t find the shop! I thought it would be something like the parlour~

Then I was told not to judge by its cover – about pancakes to someone like me? *Hmm* I think I’m more interested in something like this though~

Anyway, I like to try new things! It’s not as bad as I said, but the photos look nicer than the real thing~ and I believe they only specialise in pancakes because their drinks suck oh~! So hmm… they have nice pancakes.

Oh yeah, we planned to have cake after pancakes so to celebrate my housemate’s birthday that night but we were told that we are not allowed to have outside cake in there~ so took the cake back and there we are~ Cakie at home!

Once again... Happi Burstday Seng!

Happy times always end faster~ one week just passes like that – one blink and they are back to the airport again… so the next time we get to see each other might be end of the year.

Well… it was great fun having you guys here despite it made me feel like not working everyday… anyway below are some other nice photos…

Nobu Melbourne

These two weeks in Melbourne, the sun sets earlier at 5:30pm and by 6:30pm - the look of it is exactly like 10pm in Malaysia but of course, it’s too cold to feel homey. Everyday the temperature varies between 8˚ to 20˚ and by June winter time, it will be worse. The fact that I’ve suffered moderate depression during winter over the past 3 years doesn’t help much in welcoming this winter - the cold simply antagonise me…

I mentioned in my
previous post that five of my friends came to Melbourne for their getaway. They were here for a week; we met up, did some things together, catch up, have fun, went to some interesting places and also celebrated Sin Ling's Birthday in Nobu. Restaurant Nobu is one of the top Japanese restaurants worldwide (well known for its quality and not quantity of the food) where you have to make reservation one month in advance! I thought one month is a long time to wait for a dinner but I learnt there’s another one which bookings need to be made 3 months in advanced… how nostalgic is that?! Can you imagine craving for it now and have it 3 months later?

Back to Nobu, its restaurant decoration doesn’t look like a fine-dining place; it’s more towards casual-like – I don’t particularly like it for the price I paid even though the slight noise from the surroundings make one comfortable with the place pretty fast. I find that its service is good as the waitress are aware of on-going things; I dropped my chopsticks and they changed it for me the next moment before I let them know; they know to serve the food to me first since I’m the one taking photos of the food, did a brief introduction to each dish we had after each serve and my glass were never empty… Ha! It's all about me...

After bombarded our friendly waitress with our order, our first dish was served after a short wait… I’ve took some fantastic photos and thanks Ling for making the effort to send the photos through to us. It sums up to 800 plus photos which they took in Melbourne though I’m not with them in most of the places...

After the effort to photo the food, this is the result I’m going to share… Prepare to droooooooooolLL~!

The one I like most is the Oyster shooter, I find that it was a cool idea to have Oyster from wine glass and I personally like Oyster as well. The Rib Eye Wagyu was supposed to be the best but maybe the price made me feel that it's not worth it... But it's always good to try at least once since it's made from the best beef, I was told that the grade 9 beef quality also means that the meat contains 90% of lean and less than 10% of fats... This is the reason that make it so expensive~ I missed out Beef Fillet Tataki when I was busy shooting the food so I assume that it must be really nice if not the quantity is really small and not enough for the 9 of us... I won't go into details about others as they all tastes good... Maybe they should taste good...

It was a good meal overall and I think Sin Ling enjoyed her Luxury Birthday Dinner...

Sin Ling!! We have known each other for at least 10 years already!!! I might not the one who wishes you Happy Birthday every year but I hope you'll have great Birthdays and great food all the time!!!

Hugs & Kisses~

Cruise Birthday Party

Apparently Kenken and Jave decided to celebrate their birthday together last Friday and make a huge Birthday bash on Cruise! It was a fresh idea to me though I feel more like a wedding party instead since everyone was told to wear formal~ Birthday Party on Cruise! Imagine all the girls in dress!! How exciting!!!

So lets start with the highlights first~

Girls Group Photo, Cruise Victoria

Wooo~ Ladies & De B.Boys on board… This is what happens when there’re too many ladies; the guys get hornier in a photo session ~

Staff at work . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

And two more here… Our friendly on-board staff~

The party started during dinner time and our luxury boat cruises along Melbourne waterway while everyone have a good time on board. The boat name is SeaMelbourne; it is very big as it can contain up to 150 buggers including its sky and vista lounge and that night, Cruise Victoria had 50 of us!

In fact, I thought it’ll be better if we go during the day time as we can see a lot more and have nicer picture background during cam-whore session along the cruise. It’s probably harder since everyone is busy or prefers to sleep in rather than cruise during the day~ but still; I had a good night since I have one pretty partner beside!!

Jessica . Lavish by Kieny How, on Flickr

So… What else do you need in a party when you have…

Jessica with Messy Look . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

One glass of wine for the night…

Wine Lover . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

And of course!! The Gorgeous for the night!!

Jess loves wine just like I do and she’s a well rounded wine person, definitely better than I am but when too much wine was fed to her…

Poser Jess . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

She went off~ modeling herself~

Jess @ Advertisement.com . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Sometimes she might get out of control~ probably that’s one of the key to unleash her cam-whore (she claims it herself) character

Dizzy Man . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Okay… I’m not better myself…

Cute Couple . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

And these are my gang! Buddy Kim and girlfriend Amy~

The party went pretty well at the beginning where I unwind myself off sipping wine and enjoying my dinner happily with the slow movement of the boat.

Chilling out . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Look! How enjoyable!!

But after I finished my wine and dinner approximately 2 hours in there…

Two man photo . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

I got so bored posing and picturing around~ I felt like swimming back to the shore right away…

I thought maybe they should give us a fish rod so we can kill some time out there…

Melbourne City . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Beautiful night~

But don’t think we can fish anywhere we like in Melbourne, so we took more pictures instead~

D' Birthday Boys . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Jave and Kenken the BIRTHDAY BOYS!!

Yeah to the main event, “cakie time” the bright golden glowing cake is yummy! And I had one of the biggest… oh did I mention that the dinner wasn’t that good? So it made the cake more delicious~

Food Advertiser . Cruise Victoria by Kieny How, on Flickr

Look at their faint smile with the food and you know it’s not nice!

Kenken got quite drunk after drinking at least a glass of alcoholic drink with everyone since he is so happy. I assume Kenken drank up most of the drinks and got quite high after that and started blurting out drunk words… Then he took up the Microphone and started pulling people from their table to the dance floor forcing them to dance and sing out of nowhere~ got a bit crazy here and there but still all I want is to get off the boat~!

With the Happy Couple . Lavish by Kieny How, on Flickr

So there we are… Finally off the boat!!!

And wish that I’ll never have to board again next time~

But, it was fun overall and I’m glad I went!

Cheers to the Birthday Boys~
